Hope you're all keeping well. Has anyone got ny suggestions how to restore the chrome trim strip running around the car's waist? Mine has become somewhat faded/dull/not very nice. Not keen on an all out replacement as don't really want to prise off the old ones

What I did with my faded trim inserts was use some chrome Fablon or Sticky back Plastic.

I removed them from the bumpers & door strips, you can do it in situ but it's easier off. Cut thin strips and stuck it on. Use a hot air gun to shrink to shape. You may need to practice a few times like I did to perfect the technique, especially the bumper curves, but results are really good.

Make sure the inserts are as smooth & clean as possible as any defects will show in the final finish.

I done my Father in Laws & mine, on our show Cabbies, just over 2 years ago & they still look good.
