Somthing unusual in the scrapyard last weekend...

Post by Aaron169 »

Not only is it a green ZR,

not only does it have trophy lights,

and not only is it a VVC,

but it's a ZR 160!

Only 85,00 miles too, i'm sure whoever scrapped it isn't aware of the demand for good VVC engines :wink3
I certainly wont go to the bother of pulling the engine, but hopefully someone else does. It did at least provided me and a friend with some parts, including some switches and fog lamp wiring for my 200.
Located in Lancashire if anyone want's to grab anything before its too late!

MoT issues pretty trivial too.
Lancashire's quite a large place to search!

I spotted a few MG ZRs in the scrappy the other day along with a couple of 75s - all looked tidy in my opinion

These were my favourties though - always seems odd seeing such old classics at a scrappy

Now there's some classics for sure! My local scrapyard only tends to have stuff as old as the early 80s coming in nowadays, my faves this year being a Mk1 Renault Trafic and a Freight Rover cherry picker.
The only other Rover there on my last visit was this 200,000 mile 75, which was in unbelievably good condition inside and out despite the mileage. I'd even go as far as saying show worthy! :laughing2

Great to hear! Police recovery makes sense as it definitely looked a bit "youthed" up... :blink
It was rather exciting to find an R3 shape car in Ken's for the first time in about a year, the last one I saw being a battered Streetwise last December.

Yes hes add two R3 in lately one with very low mileage which was parted out with bumpers going to club member and steering rack and I saved the 1.4 rear subframe its a minter and will fit 1.4 R8 and R3 with power steering 👍

I was told that there was a 200 in not long ago, and when someone put a photo online someone travelled all the way up from Wales to get some parts! Don't suppose it was that very one?
