Pershore Plum Festival Car Show

Post by Topcat Tomcat »

Hi all. I will be attending again this year with the Tomcat, the 216 GSi (if I’ve finished it by then) and possibly the 620ti, if it hasn’t been sold!

For those of you who’ve never been, there’s always a varied and interesting mix of vehicles in attendance, with often over one thousand cars spread over most of the park.

There is a charge of £8 per vehicle, with all profits going towards the upkeep of Pershore Abbey. Also, please note that applications must be submitted by the end of July.

Finally, just to whet the appetite, here are a few photos from last year.

If I don’t get rostered a job at work on that day (I only find out the Bank Holiday roster a couple of weeks in advance) I might be able to come across to this. Be nice to make a different show! :)

I know the feeling. After Farce Group (GWR) took over Wessex, we had a series of useless Guards Mangers for a while. During the tenure of a particularly nasty piece of work, it got to a point where I refused to work Sundays!

Incidentally, if I know how many are likely to be coming, I can get down to the Park as soon as access is allowed and reserve enough space for everyone to park together. It’s so nice to only have to travel half a mile. :D

A quick reminder that the cut off date for submitting your entry form is 31st July.

I’ve not long dropped off my entry form for three cars, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed! 🤞

Is anyone else coming, or am going to be Billy No Mates? 😲

As a further reminder, pre Covid, the average numbers of vehicles attending was well over 1,000!

Last year, numbers were restricted purely due to the fact that the organisers wanted to ease themselves back into the swing of things, after a three year break.

Looking at which Bank Holiday roster group I’ve ended up in, I reckon I’ll be down to work this one. :(
