Newbie here, Rover 416 Si

Post by ukbiker1000 »

Hi All

I thought I would share this with you all
Just bought my 4th Rover recently. Could not resist such a great condition.

My first rover was 95 M Reg 214 Sei, 2nd was black 216 gti twincam (2001) then another 216 gti. and now proud owner of Green 416 si auto (13k on clock).

Anyways I am not planning to many changes, but may change few to make it more compfortable, the standard seats are horrible compared to SEI and GTI.

Will upload pixs soon.

Please any ideas to make it comfy and better looks as this is the basic model, does not even come with alloy wheels.
oh why steering is so still, I dont remeber my other rovers bieng this stiff.

Kind Regards
Diria

Presumably it doesn't have powet steering
My 214i doesn't either but I don't find it a problem as my other classics are older and don't have power steering either.

SEi front seats fit but not the rears and 416 GTi and 420 Sports interiors are like hen's teeth.

Could you cope with the trim mismatch and save for the originals for if you sell the car?
I like Twin Cams, Single Cams, Turbos and 5-cam VVCs :cool

For sure trim mismatch is not a problem for me. I have enough space to keep original seats.
All I want is good quality seats. i would happy invest bucket seats but dont know how to go about finding correct seat frame.
Also not really botherered which car it comes from. as long as it fits safely without problem and they are compfortable.

Easiest way is to find a hosting site to upload your pics to, then post a link to it in the forum. One of the "magicians" who run the forum will insert the pics for you :D

I use ImgBB for mine, it's free. http://www.imgbb.com
