Part Supply Survey for Rover cars
Part Supply Survey for Rover cars
The Rover 200&400 Owners Club are looking to improve the parts supply for the models covered by our club and we are now conducting a survey to understand the current situation amongst parts suppliers and how suppliers could improve their services.
Following discussions with the other Rover clubs in the Joint Rover Clubs (JRC) group, the survey has been expanded to cover all Rover models and the results will be shared with all JRC clubs.
If you would like to contribute to the survey please click this link - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PRW2HKT
It will only take a few minutes of your time, a little more if you are lucky enough to one more that one different model, it is anonymous and will run until the end of February.
Many thanks !

Re: Part Supply Survey for Rover cars
Completed. Biggest loss for me is the AllBrit site-it was so incredibly useful having a list of all the NLA parts and numbers.
Re: Part Supply Survey for Rover cars
Survey done!
Two things in my mind that have happened int he last couple of years to hinder the obtaining of parts are
1. Rimmer's removing parts from there listingst that are NLA
2. mgroverpartfinder.co.uk no longer offering searches of xpart dealers stock. Im sure A.E. Wilcox and the others will have noticed the difference. You can no longer see they have somethign, so you dont think to contact them (as they don't list parts they have for sale anywhere else)

Totally agree with those above. The changes made to Allbrit, Rimmers and Xpart finder are certainly a backward step.
Will complete the survey soon.

We're hoping to help suppliers see that there is more they could do to sell their parts to a wide audiencecarfixmobile wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 9:38 pm Totally agree with those above. The changes made to Allbrit, Rimmers and Xpart finder are certainly a backward step.

Re: Part Supply Survey for Rover cars
We have shared it on the Rover Coupe Owners Club Forum, facebook page, and sent an email to our members, so hopefully you should get some more replies to the survey from RCOC members as well

Re: Part Supply Survey for Rover cars
I participated in this survey.
I also shared this survey at thebrm.co.uk as well on mg-rover.org forums, so you might have some participations from there as well, I hope.
As said before we are loosing, one by one, good sources of information, starting with Rimmerbros removing NLA parts, the mgroverpartfinder change where they do not even answer emails sent to the last allbrit.de removing completely catalogue with part numbers.
Seems that we are left with our own catalogues, EPCs and our own knowledge of part numbers and list of suppliers we have.
