Screwfix have a range of "Insert Nuts" in the Furniture Fixings section which can be used as a replacement captive nut to repair the door handles.

I have found that the plastic that surrounds the captive nut in the door handle surround often disintegrates.

In that case, I have used a fine chopped glass fibre and resin to build up a replacement surround around the captive nut.

If I can find one of my spares I will try to add a photo

Found my modified spare door handles. That's the good news!

Door handle off and trying to craft plastic insert to hold knurled threaded brass insert.

Does anyone have the internal door handle (nearside) as I snapped all plastic lugs off removing it. Prefer to get one from here before trying eBay or wherever.

Built up the broken plastic mouldings with Q Bond which seemed to have worked. Mind you, when tightening up the bolts threaded into these brass inserts, I did hear cracking so think I may have broke the seal on the glue.

Still haven't found the inside door handle (passenger front) if anyone has one.

I am considering using one with the electric window switch (from LHD) and connecting it up so that it operates the window but this may be optimistic!?!?!?
